It is a perfect retreat for those who enjoy the ambiance of a wooded setting, surrounded by miles of apple orchards. It is a short 45 minute drive East of Rochester, New York.

The cottage has a cozy wood stove and also a brand new wall furnace. The bedroom loft has a queen-sized bed and skylights for leisurely reading or relaxing.

A variety of nearby restaurants are open year round including several in Sodus Point, N.Y. just 3 miles East on Lake Road. Steger House, a German Restaurant, is just 5 minutes East on North Geneva Road. The Alton Antique Center, and the School House Gift Shop are some of the unique nearby shopping destinations.

t is close to golf courses, the Eastman Theatre, the George Eastman House, and day trips to wineries in the Finger Lakes Region just south of Sodus, New York.

The cottage has a wraparound deck facing the lake, accessed by sliding glass doors and windows with panoramic views of the ever-changing "seascape." A small beachfront deck is accessed by the grassy front lawn and a mini-stairway to the beach.

If you need some serious "R and R", this is the place to unwind. A nearby gourmet fruit stand, "Burnap's" sells luscious seasonal, locally grown peaches, strawberries, melons, etc. along with a variety of freshly baked muffins, pies, breads, etc. Kendra Burnap will graciously provide you with a complimentary bouquet of gorgeous flowers that she picks and arranges daily. Just tell her that you are guests at the "Gaylord-Adams" cottage at Sprong's Bluff!
