Meet the Owners

ue and Art Adams entered the hospitality arena during the summer of  Nolan Ryan's  induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Art had been working in the field of Agri-Business and Susan’s first career was in Education. They now enjoy the wide variety of diversity found in their new careers as innkeepers. Art grew up in the town of Pine Plains in Dutchess County. Susan spent her childhood in western New York. Her family lived in Brockport and spent summers at their cottage on Lake Ontario. They both enjoy being in the outdoors. Art is an avid cross country skier, motorcyclist, and part time farmer. His specialties include tomatoes, sweet corn, squash and potatoes. He enjoys tending to the extensive grounds of Hazelnut Farm during every season. Susan’s avocations include flower gardening, baking, and traveling.

heir sons Henry & Charlie Adams grew up on the farm during Art’s days as a dairy farmer. Hank is enjoying life in Colorado where he can pursue his outdoor passions of hiking and skiing. He is involved in climatology research at Colorado University at Boulder. Chuck resides in Burlington, Vermont where he is an active environmentalist, snowboarder, skateboarder and business entrepreneur. Santa Fe, Hawaii, San Diego, Costa Rica, Arizona, and Utah are among the many recent destinations that the Adams family has enjoyed exploring.
