and Art Adams entered the hospitality arena during the summer of
Nolan Ryan's
induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Art had been working in the field of
Agri-Business and Susan’s first career was in Education. They now
enjoy the wide variety of diversity found in their new careers as
innkeepers. Art grew up in the town of Pine Plains in Dutchess
County. Susan spent her childhood in western New York. Her family
lived in Brockport and spent summers at their cottage on Lake
Ontario. They both enjoy being in the outdoors. Art is an avid cross
country skier, motorcyclist, and part time farmer. His specialties
include tomatoes, sweet corn, squash and potatoes. He enjoys tending
to the extensive grounds of Hazelnut Farm during every season. Susan’s
avocations include flower gardening, baking, and traveling.

sons Henry & Charlie Adams grew up on the farm during Art’s
days as a dairy farmer. Hank is enjoying life in Colorado where he
can pursue his outdoor passions of hiking and skiing. He is involved
in climatology research at Colorado University at Boulder. Chuck
resides in Burlington, Vermont where he is an active
environmentalist, snowboarder, skateboarder and business
entrepreneur. Santa Fe, Hawaii, San Diego, Costa Rica, Arizona, and
Utah are among the many recent destinations that the Adams family
has enjoyed exploring. |
